Affiliate Programme Terms and Conditions
Canada Camera Rentals · Version 2026-09-02
1. The programme
Canada Camera Rentals ("CCR", "we") operates an affiliate referral programme. Approved affiliates ("you") receive a unique promo code. When a new customer applies your code to their first rental order with CCR, the customer receives a 10% discount on their rental fees and you earn a commission on that order as set out below.
2. Eligibility and approval
Applications are reviewed manually and may be approved or declined at our sole discretion. A promo code is issued only on approval. You must be at least 18 years of age and provide accurate contact and payout details.
3. Commission
- Commission is paid on a referred customer's first order only. Subsequent orders by the same customer, with or without a code, are not tracked and do not earn commission.
- Unless CCR has agreed different rates with you in writing, commission is 10% of the net rental fees of that completed order — the hire charges after the customer's discount and any refunds or adjustments.
- Commission is not paid on taxes (GST/HST/PST), shipping or delivery charges, insurance or damage-waiver premiums, security deposits, insurance excess, purchases, late fees, damage recharges or any other non-rental charges.
- An order is "completed" when it has not been cancelled and the hire end date of every item on the order has passed. Orders are not visible in your portal until then.
- If an order is cancelled, shortened, partially refunded or otherwise adjusted, the commission is recalculated on the adjusted net rental fees. Commission already paid on an order that is later refunded may be deducted from a future payout.
4. Payouts
- Commissions are grouped by the calendar month in which the order's hire period ended and are paid on or about the 15th of the following month.
- Payouts are made by Interac e-Transfer to the email address or mobile number you provide in the portal. You are responsible for keeping these details current.
- Earnings figures in the portal are updated each time CCR imports new order data and are shown with a "last updated" date. They are indicative until paid.
- Commission is self-employed income to you; you are responsible for reporting it and for any taxes payable on it. You do not need to invoice CCR — a payout statement is issued for each payment.
- If you are registered for GST/HST you must tell us your registration number in the portal; GST will then be added to your payouts at the applicable rate and you are responsible for remitting it. If you are not registered, no GST/HST is added.
- Where required, CCR will issue a T4A information slip for commissions paid in a calendar year and may ask you for the details needed to do so.
5. Conduct
- You may not use your promo code on your own orders, or on orders for a business you own or are employed by, unless agreed in writing with CCR.
- You may not advertise your code through paid search on CCR's brand terms, coupon aggregator sites, spam, or any misleading representation of CCR or its pricing.
- CCR may decline commission on any individual order it reasonably believes is fraudulent, abusive, self-referred or in breach of these terms; the reason will be shown in your portal.
6. Privacy
You will never receive personal information about referred customers. Your portal shows only the products rented and the commission earned. You agree not to attempt to identify customers from that information.
7. Term and termination
Either party may end participation at any time. CCR may close your programme immediately for breach of these terms. On closure, your promo code is deactivated; commission on orders completed before closure will be paid on the normal schedule unless withheld for breach.
8. Agreed variations
CCR may agree, in writing, a different commission rate or customer discount with an individual affiliate. Any such agreement applies to that affiliate only, is reflected in the rates shown in their portal, and otherwise remains subject to these terms.
9. Changes
CCR may update these terms by publishing a new version in the portal. Continued use of your promo code after a change constitutes acceptance.
10. General
These terms are governed by the laws of the Province of Alberta and the federal laws of Canada applicable therein. Nothing in these terms creates an employment, agency or partnership relationship.
